Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Unity Technical Artist to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will serve as a crucial bridge between our artistic and engineering teams, ensuring that our creative vision is effectively realized through cutting-edge technology. This role requires a deep understanding of Unity, exceptional artistic skills, and a strong ability to optimize and implement high-quality visual assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists, designers, and engineers, to develop and implement stunning visual effects and features within Unity.
• Develop and maintain shaders, materials, and visual effects that elevate the aesthetic quality of our products.
• Optimize 3D assets and scenes to ensure smooth performance across various platforms without compromising visual fidelity.
• Create and refine tools and scripts to enhance and streamline the 3D art production pipeline.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to asset integration, rendering, and performance optimization.
• Mentor and guide junior artists and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously push the boundaries of what is possible.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Technical Artist in the gaming or interactive media industry.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Expert knowledge of Unity, including proficiency in C# scripting, shader development, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Strong experience with 3D modeling and texturing tools such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, or equivalent software.
  • Solid understanding of rendering pipelines, lighting techniques, and real-time visual effects.
• Artistic Skills: Demonstrated ability to create high-quality visual assets and a strong eye for detail, composition, and color.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to devise innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Portfolio: A comprehensive portfolio showcasing your technical artistry, including examples of shaders, visual effects, and tools you have developed or contributed to.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multi-Platform Experience: Experience optimizing and deploying applications across various platforms, including mobile and console.
• Additional Engine Knowledge: Familiarity with other game engines such as Unreal Engine.
• Procedural Content Generation: Experience with creating procedural assets and environments.
• Scripting and Tool Development: Proven experience in developing custom tools and editor extensions to improve workflow efficiency.
