As Audio Director, you’ll guide the audio vision and execution, ensuring an immersive and dynamic auditory experience for players.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creative and technical direction of audio design, crafting a memorable soundscape that enhances gameplay and player immersion.
- Collaborate closely with design, art, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of audio elements across all aspects of the game.
- Design, implement, and manage the audio pipeline, using industry-standard tools like Wwise and FMOD to create dynamic sound effects, ambient audio, and music that align with the game's vision.
- Supervise and mentor a team of audio professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring high standards of quality and consistency.
- Manage audio assets, documentation, and project timelines, ensuring efficient workflow and on-time delivery.
- Oversee audio testing and iteration, using player feedback to refine and optimize audio performance.
- AAA Game Experience: Proven track record in a senior or lead audio role on AAA game titles, ideally in FPS or PvE genres.
- Technical Sound Design Expertise: Advanced proficiency in audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) and audio editing software.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and project management abilities, with experience guiding and developing an audio team.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve cohesive, high-quality audio results.
