We are seeking an experienced and talented data professional to oversee the data backend and analytical operations of our dynamic team. This role is an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled group of data analysts and engineers, acting as a key liaison between stakeholders and the team while driving strategic initiatives and contributing directly to impactful projects.

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled group of data analysts and engineers, acting as a key liaison between stakeholders and the team while driving strategic initiatives and contributing directly to impactful projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and engineers, fostering their growth and innovation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the data team and other departments, as well as collaborating with global data teams.
- Define and implement the local data strategy, roadmap, and priorities in alignment with global objectives.
- Contribute hands-on to projects, including data platform development, process automation, pipeline creation, and KPI monitoring.
- Facilitate seamless communication and knowledge sharing across local and global data teams.
- Support the team in navigating a low-hierarchy, self-managed organizational structure.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python or similar languages for data processing and analysis.
- Advanced expertise in data engineering, including ETL processes, data modeling, migrations, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., GCP).
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing large-scale data solutions.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Looker or Tableau.
- Understanding of data governance and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Proven leadership experience managing diverse, international teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Located within European time zones, with preference for Helsinki-based candidates.
- Experience in gaming, mobile marketing, or other data-driven sectors.
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI technologies in global business contexts.
