Please note, the team operates on a 6-day work week — Saturdays are a reduced-hours workday but still part of the schedule.

A well-established game studio is looking for a Senior Technical Artist to join their team on a mobile shooter title. This role is ideal for someone passionate about both art and technology, who can build the tools, shaders, and systems that help artists and developers deliver stunning, optimized visuals.
As a Technical Artist, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the creative and engineering teams. Your work will directly impact the visual quality of the game and the efficiency of the production pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain production tools, scripts, and workflows within Unity, as well as in Maya, Blender, and Substance to streamline the art pipeline.
  • Create and implement shaders and VFX using Unity Shader Graph, with a focus on weapon skins, character cosmetics, UI elements, and special effects.
  • Write Unity code to integrate shaders and visual effects, ensuring these systems are flexible and easy to use for both artists and developers.
  • Optimize art assets for performance on mobile platforms, including textures, lighting, shadows, foliage, and shaders.
  • Contribute to the development of customizable systems such as character customization and weapon skin configurations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director and cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality visuals while balancing performance constraints.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience developing tools and workflows in Unity, Maya, and Blender.
  • Expertise in shader creation and VFX using Shader Graph in Unity.
  • Solid understanding of digital art production pipelines, including modeling, UV unwrapping, baking, texturing, and level art.
  • Proven experience on at least three shipped mobile game titles as a Technical Artist.
  • Skilled in optimizing art assets and automating manual processes to improve production efficiency.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with HLSL or similar shader languages.
